Introducing Hampton, a Community of High-Growth Startup Leaders

Where the challenges of leading a high-growth startup can be as challenging as they are exciting, Hampton emerges as a safe space and a ray of hope for CEOs and entrepreneurs navigating a turbulent digital landscape. Co-founded by Sam Parr, the entrepreneurial mind behind the Hustle and Trends, and Joe Speiser, a serial entrepreneur, Hampton is a sanctuary for the ambitious and the restless, a highly vetted membership community where founders and CEOs of fast-growing, tech-enabled startups gather to thrive together.

Hampton’s Home Page

The community, which launched in 2023, boasts over 260 members across more than 35 states and five countries, and is growing rapidly. Membership is exclusive and requires significant achievements such as building a company with at least $1 million in revenue. The vetting process ensures that every member is not just a fit in terms of achievements but also in attitude and mindset, fostering a community of ambitious, high-growth-focused leaders.

Hampton’s core membership benefits include monthly core group meetings with other founders, access to a vibrant digital community, in-person networking events, educational workshops featuring guest speakers, and exclusive perks with popular software and tools. This rich array of resources provides a fertile ground for its members to share advice, offer critical feedback, and accelerate business growth.

Challenges

Hampton’s engagement with Refact unfolded after they migrated to HubSpot CMS. Originally, their website was developed using WebFlow. For enhanced functionality and better content management, Hampton decided to switch to HubSpot CMS. This transition, initially handled by another digital agency, didn’t go as planned.

When Hampton moved from WebFlow to HubSpot CMS, the agency responsible for this migration didn’t fully complete the job. Key website assets, like images, which are essential for the look and functionality of the site, were still hosted on WebFlow.

Another significant challenge was how some parts of the website were hard-coded by the previous agency. This posed an obstacle for Hampton’s team. They needed to be able to update and edit their website easily, without always diving into complex coding. The hard-coded website meant they needed technical expertise for every minor change or update.

After the migration, Hampton was in a position of rapid growth and evolution. Growth brings new digital demands and challenges. Hampton required a responsive and efficient partner to handle unforeseen issues and provide quick solutions, ensuring the website remained a robust and reliable tool for their expanding community.

This is where Refact came in!

Complete Asset Migration and CMS Integration

Refact’s first task in addressing Hampton’s challenges was to tackle the incomplete migration process. The goal was to ensure a seamless and functional transition of all website assets from WebFlow to HubSpot CMS. This step was critical for establishing a stable and cohesive digital platform.

Migrating Assets to HubSpot: The process began with transferring all website assets – images, JavaScript (JS), and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) files – from WebFlow to HubSpot CMS. These elements are crucial for the website’s design, functionality, and overall user experience. By moving them to HubSpot, Refact ensured that the website could run more efficiently. Plus, they could now cancel their WebFlow account without consequences. This move also solved the issue of potential broken links, making the site more reliable.

Through these steps, Refact addressed the immediate technical problems of the previous migration, and also set a new standard for Hampton’s digital operations. This foundation was essential for the ongoing support and future enhancements that would be part of Hampton’s digital journey.

Enhancing Website Flexibility

After resolving the asset migration issues, Refact focused on making Hampton’s website more flexible and user-friendly. The main challenge here was the hard-coded web pages which limited Hampton’s ability to make updates easily.

The solution involved re-coding these hard-coded pages. Refact’s team carefully revised the website’s code, transforming these pages into editable formats. This change meant that now, Hampton’s team could update their website directly from the HubSpot CMS admin panel. They no longer needed to delve into complex coding for every small update or content change.

Through these efforts, we significantly enhanced the website’s functionality for their editors. Hampton’s team could now easily change everything from the HubSpot CMS admin panel.

Implementing Email Capture Forms on Hampton’s Blog

The next significant step was the implementation of email capture forms on Hampton’s website.

Email Capture Form on the Blog Page

Our team added email capture forms on the main blog page and individual blog posts. These forms collect email addresses from visitors.

Hampton’s team was very satisfied with these email capture forms and our initiative in suggesting them.
